Gaming Pokemon HG/SS questions!

Well I just got the Soul Silver rom, and it won't let me save... is it because the roms haven't been fixed yet? Are there any other errors in both versions? Or is this just because I downloaded from a bad place..

There's AP in SoulSilver and HeartGold. Depending on your flashcard/emulator and firmware, you will experience black screens, random freezes, inability to save, inability to load, inability to even start a game.
There are now two Flashcards without problems
Acekard 2i with 1.6RC1
CycloDS with 1.58 B2 (not 100% confirmed)
