ROM Hack Pokemon HG Save Convert? (U) --> (J)

so i just got my third badge with the (U) dump and the game isn't playable.

is my only option at the point to download the (J) rom, patch it with an ENG translation, and transfer my save over?
how do i convert my save?? can i just rename my save file? is there a converter? THANKS IN ADVANCE!!

Just rename. I did so with my (J) save as a test and it worked fine.

It doesn't work if you were playing the game from XXLANCE's patch. If you rename it, it just goes to a black screen when you load it on the (U) ROM. AFAIK, there's no way to 'convert' it. (Wish someone knew of a way, I'm about to get my 13th Gym badge on my patched (J) Rom.

What he/she is asking is how to play (U) on (J)

and you can, just rename, but when get past the 4th badge you won't be able to use that save on a (U), you'll have to wait until there's an Anti-Anti-Piracy Patch

Anti-anti-piracy patch = piracy patch. I think it's a catchier name.

Don't get your hopes up, if some major and still supported flash-carts don't have 100% fixes yet, why would an old, crappy, abandoned card have a fix?

Weren't there some people that were working on a fix for the R4? R4 Team Ultra, was it?

if you rename the U .sav file to the J rom, itll work as far as i know, after getting like 4 more badges, i tried converting it back to the U version, but it didnt work so make a backup of your original .sav file if youre gonna do this.
