No, the .bak is a backup of the original, you put the same file you had patched (if it was named SS.nds, you put SS.nds on your flash card)

Lol, dam that is so harsh, but I agree with the phrasing so much...in any case, I'm am beyond amazed that anyone could attempt patching something and expect the final product to not even have the correct extension xD.
