Have you sorted out the music yet? If not, then why not for most of the music, take the sseq file (of the music you want eg: Wild battle) from Heart gold/Soul silver as it has lots of kanto music. Then insert back/replace the pokemon black wild pokemon music with the heart gold one using crystaltile2. If you get an error shorten the kanto music a bit. You're job is easier than kingdrapion as you can take alot of the music from Heart gold ;P

Ye but some instruments will be off and some tracks will not have instruments at all. Assigning the needed instruments is easier, but finding the correct Hex values is hard. Also, there is no way of shortening SSEQ files, Goku will just have to convert it to MIDI's which will lose all its data for looping (Which is his main problem like me) and hell end up in the same spot as I am. So ye we are in the same boat with the music :P

Exatcly.
My problem specifically being that for some strange reason, the music is still all messed up even after I followed the instructions precisely on the ROM Hacking Guide. I'm not even at looping yet :P

indeed, i doubt ss/hg has the same soundbanks as b/w.
Also after looking at the hex, of an sseq that has been ripped from the game the converted to midi, then back to sseq, without changing anything and of course following the rom hacking guide on what to edit befor converting to sseq and after sseq

the sseq's hex looks alittle diffrent, than the original which my guess is the missing loop.
But after inserting it back in through ct2 then checking the hex again in vgmtrans the hex is completly changed and all over the place.
Dont kno if this is a problem with there being no loop, or a problem with the ct2 inserting process.

Also there is a way to shorten sseq's through hex editing. But u would have to make sure not to delete the loop value, and a few other values, also when done deleting parts you would need to figure out the new size in bytes and convert it to hex and replace the old size in the header of the sseq, then below the header there is the filesize minus the header, again here u would have to figurr out the new size minus the header size and replace the old values, all in hex mind u.

Ok thats all i got for now.
I really hate sseq's

well of course i aint been lazing off i told u tho i was down with the music for the time being cause it was pissing me of
but my curiosity keeps getting the better of me so occasaly i will glance at it and tinker
if we/someone could isolate the loop values, and instrument values i might
be able to get the music working MIGHT i say.

Well, if music is so hard for you, do the Trainer/Wild Pokemon editing.

Lol, if it's time you need then time is what you get.
I personally won't be working on this for about 2-3 weeks because my B-Day is coming up and I'm getting Battlefield 3 + other awesome stuff, so I might get distracted from work lol.
My B-Day is on the 29th of June.

@3-sD~Juggalo - Bahahaha! Well done sir, well done.
@supagokuman2 - I have to say this hack really caught my attention. It's very unique and can't wait until it's finished. Also, I'm curious as to what gaming system you shall be getting Battlefield 3 + other awesome stuff for.

Thanks! And I'm getting Battlefield 3 for my Xbox 360. That's the only actual game I'm getting. The other stuff strays toward Gaming Gear.

Xbox 360 has to be (if not very close to) my favorite console. After playing CoD for 3 years straight I'm a huge fan of BF3 right now. You should PM me your Gamertag so we can play it once your Birthday comes (assuming you have Xbox live).

@brutalsniperz im not at my pc right now so i cant remember the exact filenames but the logic will still apply.

Once u open the rom in nitroexplorer and click folder a. u look at the filename for each .narc so lets say for example the first .narc file is name 016 then inside the a folder u would need to open the '0' folder, then the '1' folder, and then click on file '6' then at the top of nitroxplorer click the 'reinsert' tab and find the file named 016.narc.
U follow this same pattern for each .narc file.

This looks great. Where does the beta lead up to? Like what town?
Well..
You should be able to explore everywhere, the whole game, with new text.
New pokemon and music.... no.
That stuff is stil in development.
Sprites and Text are practically done.
There are only a handful of sprites missing, and if there's any major text not edited, it's considered a bug, since every major text should be edited.

Awesome, thanks! I'll definitely give this a try next week when I go on vacation. I have a five hour car ride ha ha.

Cheren = Blue
Bianca = Green
fits the best imo...
instead of Gary and Leaf...
it's more near to the manga :D

*Facepalm*
This isn't the Manga, though.
It's the Game. That means Leaf is the right name, and Gary was named that way to avoid the whole name problem (And it worked SO well, lol.)
