I'd prefer it to be visible. Math wasn't my strong point and the whole EV calculation seems worse than algebra.

of course its worst than algebra bud, isnt just multiply and divide, it also has to do with the codes of each pokemon... if you need help, go to smogons.

Or maybe i can help you a bit

he is having troubles with the EV... i guess by what he wrote, he want to know how to get the ideal EV for each of his pokemon...

its just a guess anyway lol

I thought the max sum of EV were 510 lol *Looks to the floor*

Max EV a pokemon can get is 510. The max amount a STAT of the pokemon can get is 255. So, you'll have to split up that 510 wisely. Every 4 EV is 1 bonus stat (no point putting 255 in one stat since 252 is the most you should put; 63 bonus stat).

EVs are distributed by the pokemons you battle. For example, Zubat gives 1 speed EV. By the time you level and have defeated 10 Zubats, you get 2 bonus agi stat and still have the 2 EVI agi stat to be used when you reach 4 speed EVs and the next time you level. Some pokemons give more than 1 EV or more variation EVs.

Awwww, you're no fun.

Can any captured pokemon be EV trained? I caught the legendary Uxie and I was wondering if I can max its SP attack.

pokemon is more fun without EVs most times, as it is such a grind to do it,
but IVs they are even harder to do
but if you want a "perfect" pokemon its the only way

Ev is basically put...
Kill more pokemon per lvl with a macho brace, or other stat increasing related held item eg Power Lense = SP ATT, More kills per level, more stats = Profit.
