Hacking Pokémon Emerald white screen with NDSGBA

I'm getting a white screen when I try to run Pokémon Emerald with the GBA emulator. Every other game works, and the ROM for Pokémon Emerald works on my computer and on other emulators on other platforms.

I can't seem to find anything here on how to fix this. Does this happen for anyone else? How can I fix this?

Are you using game_config.txt? Check the GBA emulation spoiler in the Beginner's Guide.

Are you using version 1.30 or 1.21 as the game_config.txt doesn't work with 1.30.

It should work perfectly with 1.21. If it fails then download the ROM from a different source.

No worries.

Usually if someone is having difficulty with a GBA game on the emulator it's fixed by using 1.21 and game_config.txt.
