Hello! I'm still new to GBA carts and the sort and I recently just got a GBxCart RW so I could get my pokemon emerald save off the flash cart it was on. It gave me the information (first file attached) and I was able to save it onto my pc. When I open it up in an emulator, it does give me the message that the save was corrupted and it's loading a previous file. However, whenever I try to save the game, the game just pauses on the save screen with the audio continuing in the background. After a while, the game resets back to the year and copyright screen before the intro. I have also attached the save file to this if anyone can help me save my pokemon

This is an batteryless sram cartridge. So you need to apply two patch on original emerald rom.
First you need to apply SRAM 1Mbit patch on rom, cause emerald is a FLASH 1Mbit save and normal sram patch only support SRAM 512Kbit save. the patch link is here. And SRAM 1Mbit support also need hardware in your cartridge to support bank-switching, you may take a photo to show the chip of your cartridge.
Then you need to apply batteryless patch on SRAM 1Mbit patched rom. This time the rom can be burned into your cartridge and save normally (if your cartridge has the bank-switching hardware). the patch link is here.

I opened the save up in PKHex and then re-exported it and it then opened properly in my emulator. I genuinely don't know what happened but it works now! Will keep this in mind tho
