ROM Hack Pokemon Distribution Patch Language question

Whenever a new wonder card is available, I patch my Deoxys Distribution Rom into that Wonder card. However, I always choose the english option in that patch. What happens if I choose a different language? What will be affected? Will it affect the language of my Pokemon game if it was set to japanese, it cannot transfer the wonder card into my english game? Or the gui of the distribution will turn into japanese if i chose the japanese option in the patch and still able to transfer it to mysgame?
