Yes. The Pokétransfer system works so long as the 4th generation game is an authentic cartridge.

Black/White/Black2/White2 sends a DS download title to the second DS system, with the Diamond/Pearl/Platinum/Heart Gold/Soul Silver cartridge inserted. The Download play software plays the minigame and then rewrites the save-data on the cartridge, transferring 6 pokémon at a time to the 5th gen game.

I downloaded a pokemon black version 2 that was already patched and it played on my 3ds w/ acekard 2i successfuly. I saved the game and closed it. When I try to load the game up again, it's stuck on a white screen (won't boot).

any ideas?

edit ** i downloaded completely new roms, it came prepatch with both white and black.

now.. black still does not work but white is working? weird ..

why are you using a patched Rom? Is this a translation patch, if don't
Use akaio 1.9.0 and a clean Rom, or a Rom with translation patch.
