I think it is not the Color (Diamond or whatever they chose the difference to be), that decides which Version to buy, at least not for later Pokemon games, because now it is more about the special Pokemons you get to encounter in the different versions (especially the legendary ones, like Lufia or Ho-Oh)!

BTW: Why would it be racist to get the black version of the game
