if you can walk inside the union it works fine
if you want to trade or battle with another trainer over wi-fi you need to have wi-fi enabled on the ds
then the union room catches the other person and you can trade/battle just fine.

i was able to go into the union room on my cyclo with the patch but it did NOT detect the other DS i had inches from it that was HG.

my guess with the wireless AP is that you can go into the union room but you can not connect to anyone else.

I have r4 renovation sdhc, Have tried both patched and unpatched roms with moonshell, and also with the Wood.nds file, but keep getting message saying "FAT ERROR".

Has anyone got any advice, steps or link to a tutorial to get this to work? Would be much appreciated, thanks.

Get a real cart, not some random clone.

I didn't ask for cart opinions or comments, i asked if anyone has any steps or instructions to get it to work. The japanese patched rom works perfectly fine on it, so i'm sure it's possible.

While I concede that the flashcart comment was unnecessary, I agree with him in the sense that you have a "random" (i.e. not so common.) cart. Since it is such a special flash cart situation, your gonna have some tough luck finding some help.

To clarify, the fact that you have such an obscure clone for a flashcart is going to make it difficult for you to find someone in the same boat, in effect, making it harder to find help. You might be better off just doing some trial-and-error patching until you find something that works.

Thanks for the advice, it's the first time i'd bought a flashcard, the one i have says r4 sdhc v2.10T. It works with the pacthed jap version perfectly. I do however also have a DSTT card, but i have yet to get it to run a rom, although it may be something to do with having to format the sdhc card i have, as i currently use it for both phone and ds.

Go ahead and use the DSTT seeing as how that actually has made some progress according to the OP. Best course of action for you it seems.

I'm agreeing with this. While you WERE using HG instead of another copy of black or white, i still think the wireless AP is preventing us from engaging in union room activity. Incidentally, i can get all the way to searching for opponents in the random wi-fi battles with all three signal bars at maximum, but it never finds anyone. Is that because Game Freaks servers aren't open for business? or is it AP?

Agreed as far as servers are concerned. To clarify, UNION ROOMS ARE ONLY FOR A GROUP OF TRAINERS IN THE IMMEDIATE VICINITY OF EACH OTHER. IF YOU CAN GET IN AND WALK AROUND, YOU'RE IN GOOD SHAPE. That being said, OP can be updated to say that a patched AND clean rom of Black and White work flawlessly (I mean FLAWLESSLY) on Original R4 running wood v1.26.

The loaders on AKAIO.net are outdated, use the one included with AKAIO 1.8.6 and do not update via WiFi. Do a clean install, delete __aio folder & akmenu4.nds & then reinstall.

A hang at "Loading" after booting a ROM usually means the version of the loader does not equal the version of AKAIO. Ex: 1.8.1's loader on 1.8.5 will result in that exact problem.

Have you tried disabling AAP? Someone in the Acekard forums said they had a similar problem with the JPN release and doing that fixed it.

Quite frankly, I don't know what you are talking about.
The Spanish ROM's have not been released yet to my knowledge.

Hi guys. I need help to stop the freezing I get when I play the game on my TTDS.

I tried using a clean and patched rom.
Wood lets me get into the game, and I freeze when I talk to the professor.
On Ysmenu, and TTMenu using the latest firmware i freeze when i try to load the game up.

1. didnt know that

. but there is still some form of AP, when i was at walmart with no internet connection anywhere it still said i was connected to WiFi with the c-gear.
