hi,
i used a f2a cart + pogoshell 2b4 to play mario and luigi superstar.

now i want to play this game with my new g6lite. therefor i need to extrect the save files from the cart to my computer and convert them to the g6 save file format.

but i am having troubles to get the superstar.sav off the cart?

i tried "sram explorer 2" but it needs a pogoshell dump (*.dump) to be able to browse the savegames.

how can i create a pogoshell dump from my cart?

i am using the xtremelink v1.25 software access my cart.
it can extract the single sram slots (1-4). but there are lots of savegames in each of those slots as pogoshell handles the savegames.
i can dump the cart creating a *.gba file. does this file contain the sram files?

so how do i get a pogoshell *.dump file? pls help

ok a *.dump file is file that contains the sram banks 1 to 4.

unfortunately xtremelink 1.25 does not support to extract all the srams in one file.

can i make 1 file out of those 4 sram.sav files to open it with sram explorer?

When you launch a ROM in Pogoshell, its savegame is uncompressed to bank 1 (bank 2 to 4 are used to store compressed saves).
So if you want to extract a save to your computer, just launch the game in PogoShell, switch off, and extract the first bank.

You have 3 solutions

- You can make a single dump file by merging together all your four save-games with an hex-editor or anything else that allow binary file concatenation, just be careful to respect the order of the bank.
- If I recall correctly, you can open your .sav individually by changing the file type in the Open File dialog box. I think it should work although I can't remember for sure.
- And last, you can follow bubblejoe method. If you need to only get one save back, it will probably be the faster one.

As for the problem at hand, bubblejoe solution would be you're best bet.
