I would assume it would take an extra second or two to buffer the vid, but thats all. This is assuming a intro only a few seconds long, not a full video (fail)
 
lmao @ the idea at using a full movie as the intro.....waste of space on the SD card. Possibly waste of time too if it takes too long to load. Plus the only thing people would see would be the opening logos, like the Fox Logo then spam the A button because they want to play Wii and not watch a movie!

pshh i'd put some porn to watch upon boot up, i wouldn't play wii(not for a while that is)... more like play with my wii wii

If it's ever possible to do video. This is the one that HAS to be done.



I'll settle with the same logo and the sound for a still though. perhaps a little more delay and text saying A menu B HBC.

no... grandma doesn't play video games, in fact anyone that saw that pop up on my wii would laugh their asses off... it would definitely catch people off guard which i'm all about

You can have the porn but you have to have a voice over with the asian guys from the commercial that say "We would like to play".
 
Hey Crazy, about a week or so ago when this Health Screen stuff was started up and everybody was talking about how unsafe it was I suggested booting a simple Image displayer and maybe mp3 sound player combo from PreLoader. Did I play maybe a teenie little part in you deciding to do this?

I really like this App. With custom Health Screen loading when this exits it give us a double splash screen. I could see using this as Splash screen intro then using the Actual Health Screen to display System Specs, kinda like how the PC displays it's POST BIos information. I think I'll get to work building a sample Info Screen just for that purpose.
 
Nice work again WiiCrazy.
I've had Preloader set to not autoboot because I like being able to get into HBC quickly but, let's face it, the Preloader menu is not exactly eye-candy. Your new project will sort that little problem out in a very nice way
