Sometimes, when I click "edit" on a PM, and the PM opens in the full editor, some parts of the text are missing. I've noticed that if there's a smiley in a line of text, everything between the first smiley and the line break will disappear. This only happens occasionally. Anyone else have this happen?

I've had this happen quite a few times.

Thankfully, it doesn't happen all the time. I usually have to hit "Back" or look at my reply in a new tab, copy what went missing after the smiley, and paste it in when I'm editing.

Hmm, I haven't had it happen to me yet as far as I remember. Although I don't use a lot of smileys in my PMs, so maybe that's why.
Both of you are using the Standard editor, it may be related to that (it's something I coded in manually, so there can easily be bugs).

I found that bug with some smiley too, using the standard editor.
If you put multiple smiley and edit the message, all the content between smilies are missing.

 test :!: test  it happens only when the smilley have this form : xxxx :

Edit my message using the standard editor, it will result in this :

 it happens only when the smilley have this form : xxxx :

Editing one that is already read I agree could lead to issues but ones that are as yet unread (several other forums offer an "outbox" type affair) is quite nice.

I'm often editing PM before it's read D:
Don't remove it please.

It's like I want to add things instead of creating a new reply, or fix grammar etc., I can just click edit before the user read it.
I know, I could use preview, but I like the fact I can edit before it's read.
