that's your only hope, once you recover your system follow https://3ds.guide/

This, everyone, is why we don't follow video guides.

To be fair it is plausible that there's nothing wrong with the video guide. The reason the OP bricked is because he's stupid. If you're a noob, and you're doing something that you don't really know anything about, then why on earth would you think that straying from the guide is okay? Why come here after the fact you're bricked and not when you run into issues ..

@Raymond1424 Cubic Ninja or Sky3DS is very expensive. Could probably buy an used 2DS (or 3DS ..) with the same amount of money, and you'd possibly better off doing that. Next time don't stray from the guide thinking "Oh im sure it'll be okay to do something even though I dont understand what it does".

Fair point, but video guides get outdated quickly. But I agree that it's very stupid to go away from a guide.

Yeah I don't like video guides either and I think they're retarded, but many people say that they prefer seeing over reading .. Given that the menus in Decrypt9, fasthax etc. all the hacks don't generally change, I don't understand why people can't use the 3ds.guide to obtain right files and THEN follow a video guide if they want .. It'd probably work just fine. Or someone could make an alternative version of 3ds.guide with "screenshots" of all the menus and what have you.

I just read in the other thread btw that he added OOT support so getting an OOT cart to fix his 2DS would be pretty cheap as opposed to Cubic Ninja or Sky3DS .. but would he also need Powersaves? No other way to get it to work?

Video guides and tutorials have never meant to replace written guides, only supplement them and as an additional visual aid. To be frank, when it comes to flashing or modding the system firmware or software like this unless you have at least some competent experience or technical know-how on what you are doing and you still refuse to use any form of comprehensive written guide, then I would say you probably should not be doing it in the first place and should get someone more qualified to do it.

Again thinking on it, say someone found a video with the old 2.1 emunand downgrade method - screwed up, then came here for 'help' - when the community here has moved on to soundhax/fasthax/safehax

Admittedly the experienced users here would likely be able to help, but others would strugle to identify the issue as a text guide wasn't followed + the views of the outdated guide would rise as members here try to 'help'.

To the OP, next time, please follow the written Plailect guide via Soundhax carefully. It can only support between OFW 7.0 and up to 11.2.
