Format it as Fat32 using an available disk formatter on the web

How do I get around the 4gb file size limit with that?

    Can I use NTFS instead?

    You must use fat32.

To get around the 4gb limit uses something like Easus Partition Manager.

you must format the SD Card to FAT32m you MUST!!!, Find a program that can format the sd card to FAT32 or if you have an xbox 360, format the SD Card with a SD CARD to USB adapter on xbox 360, so it will be FAT32, after that, delete ALL the files and folders that the Xbox 360 created, and you're ready to put all the Wii U games and homebrew, any questions, just reply me :)
