Q: When can I purchase the Vita?

A: It is available now so go buy it if you want it.

Q: Does the name Vita mean something important?

A: Vita means life in Latin. The previous name for this device is NGP.

Q: What memory cards does the Vita use?

A: A new proprietary memory card developed by Sony. It comes in the following sizes with a MSRP listed next to it.
  • 4GB - $19.99
  • 8GB $29.99
  • 16GB $59.99
  • 32GB $99.99
Q: Which models have 3G and how much does a 3G plan cost?

A: You must use the carrier AT&T to access this function if your from the USA. 3G is only available on the first edition bundle and 3G edition of the Vita. AT&T has something called Data Connect plans for the Vita. You pay $14.99 for 250MB of data which lasts 30 days or 3GB for $30.00 which lasts 30 days. The data plans are not contract based.

Q: Can you use UMDs on the Vita?

A: No. but PSP games and certain PS1 games bought from the Playstation store can be run on the Vita. You can also use the UMD passport program in Japan to get a small discount when buying digital PSP games.

Q: What is the Playstation Vita?

A: The Playstation Vita is the successor to the various Playstation Portable models made. It has corrected a lot of the mistakes the PSP had while removing HDMI out.

Q: Can I have multiple accounts on the Vita?

A: Yes, but due to a recent update you will have to reformat your memory card to access them or have multiple memory cards.

Q: How do I take screenshots?

A: Press start and the PS button at the same time.

Q: Has the Vita been hacked?

A: The PSP mode has been hacked. You have to buy certain games to access it though.

Q: Why does my game have no manual?

A: Sony has decided to remove physical manuals. You can still access one online or from the game.

Q: Is the Vita region locked.

A: No but you may have to reformat your memory card to access foreign accounts depending on your firmware.

Q: What are some apps on the Vita?

A: Near, live area. party, skype, augmented reality and many more.

Q: Does the Vita have trophy support?

A: Yes it does.

Q: What video, photo and music format does the Vita accept?

A: MPEG 4 and H.264 are the accepted video file types. Image formats supported are JPEG, TIFF, BMP, GIF, and PNG. MP3, MP4 and Wave are the supported audio types.

Q: Is Playstation Plus available on the Vita?

A: It will soon be. It offers 6 free games at a time that can be run on the Vita. The launch titles of this program are are listed below.

Q: What is remote play and what games support it?

A: Crossbuy is when you buy a copy of a game which has a copy of the PS3 and Vita version. Various PSN and PS3 games support it.

Screen
It sports a 5-inch 16:9 OLED (organic light-emitting diode)Touch Screen.
Cameras
It has a 1.3 Megapixel front and rear camera. They can also be used to record 480p video.
Processor
It use a quad core ARM Cortex A9 processor which basically is 200MHZ.
Ram
It has 512 Ram
Battery Life
It depends but 3-5 if your playing a game while music and video can increase your battery's life by 2-4 hours. It takes 2 hours and 30 mintues to charge the battery from zero. It also is not removable.
Graphics Card
SGX543MP4+ which has 128MB Vram.
Sound Systems
It has stereo speakers and a microphone built into the device. The speakers are located between the analog stick and the side of the device.
Wireless Communication System Used
Depending on the model you buy you may have 3G. Wifi and Bluetooth 2.1 is included in all current models. It also has built in GPS.

I haven't finished and corrected it yet. It has some errors in it which will hopefully be corrected during my revision process. Any constructive criticism or something to add is nice though.
