This ain't 4chan. Read the moonshell guide, its still the best method available.

Well if you really don't like to use MoonShell keep in mind that their are always alternatives such as DSVideo and Tuna-Vids. Both of which are extremely nicely made, however MoonShell still stands as the best media player for the DS.

DSVideo
Tuna-Vids

If your flash cart has built-in DPG playback capabilities then it's better to use that rather than use moonshell because moonshell doesn't give you the same quality from my experience

I am pretty sure those max out at like 12 fps which is nowhere near as good as dpg

Yeah i went through this same dilemma about a week or so ago.

DSM: files to big 142megs=1.4gigs didnt even test(only have a 1gig card)
DSV: quality is kinda an issue here and also vids can only converted from avi without problems
tuna-vids: where as you can manually put it in sync sometimes it get so out of sync the you have to restart the vids all over
DPG: only problem ive come to find is that the search tool stinks

i went with DPG and i use SUPER to convert my vids. Now i only have and ninjapass to test this so if the results are different on a different card i would not know.

Tuna-viDS can achieve higher framerates if the video size isn't the full 256x192 resolution. I've used 15 fps with no problems for a widescreen movie I converted, and that was with a rather high bitrate selected.

I use the full Sakura firmware (I have an M3), but it is definitely the best looking - I would use the DLDI version of Sakura instead of moonshell.

I use Super to convert the videos; if I am converting a DVD then Dvd decrypter to get a single VOB file and then Super to convert that to DPG (which is the best format)

Yes, though BatchDPG is a good program for converting DPG files. Most people tend to use SUPER just because of its ease of use. Plus it can convert a lot of video formats to DPG so its a lot more convenient.

i just decided to use sakura hack but when i play my dpgs on it they dont work whereas on moonshell they work fine

that website is horrible! where's the download link?

very bottom of the page is you cant find it press control f and copy this into the field "Start Downloading SUPER" without quotes.
