Hacking Question Playing backups without Xecuter SX?

I'm seeing Switch game backups pop up on various torrent sites. Is there currently a way to play them without the Xecuter SX? Some other homebrew?

I guess it's convenient to have a dongle and jig all in one package, but no thanks, I and everyone else will get their backup loaders through a free method.

Currently SX is the only method. I'm sure in the future there will be a free and open source method but for now only SX.
