I'm going to be buying a 250 GB Xbox 360 Slim pretty soon that I will be modding. I've read some of the tutorials on this site and I have a pretty good grasp of what I'll be up against. What I haven't seen are any tutorials on playing games / ISOs off the internal hard drive. Is this something that's not possible to do?
Yes you can play games off off the internal HDD.
Infact it's preferred over external (fast loading times etc)

You need an RGH to play games off the internal drive (or external drive for that matter). A JTAG can do it as well, but they patched out the ability to do that before the slims came out.
You'll need (depending on your model) a NAND-X/JRunner programmer or SD R/W kit + a Coolrunner3 lite/pro.
I'd say if you're smart enough, combine JRunner with Dark Fib3rs glitch guide.
That way it won't be that hard to pull off.

R-JTAG is only for PHAT consoles, the OP has a slim so this would not be an option for him. he should have no trouble finding someone to do a RGH install.....................sudeki300

Slims have a new chip which is currently in development by TX.
TX dropped the CR3 Lite cause of chinese knock offs and is developing a new chip (affordable one) that will be based on the DGX/RGX chip.
