Hacking Play backups on Wii 4.1E

I have the Homebrew channel and Bootmii installed. All the tutorials i have found to play backup games involve version 4.3.

How can i play backup games on version 4.1 ?

im afraid of updating with a modded machine, i have heard i could brick it

Possible, but very very unlikely.

About the same odds as bricking it if your console was on official firmware

Because there's no need to.

4.1 is sufficient, just run ModMii and follow the directions to make sure everything is set up right.

Follow this guide: http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-faqs-guides-tutorials-only/96886-guide-softmod-any-wii.html to install the custom IOSes and USB Loader GX, also install Priiloader before doing anything else, do you have BootMii as Boot2?

He can enjoy the latest games without having to update for 4.3, 4.3 version only removes homebrew and a few traces of it, that's it, nothing new is added so its completely pointless to update to 4.3, my Wii had 4.3 and I downgraded it to 4.1.
