Gaming platform games

I've been looking for weeks but I just can't find any decent platform beat'em up or shooter along the lines of "final fight" or "metal slug"

I mean...the ds is full of great RPGs and not so great RPGs but where's all the platforming duuuude?

yes I've played metal slug ds (which I liked) and that other game with the incredibly small robot blowing up half the screen with missiles from treasure(can't remember the name) which would have been a good idea if it was really a platformer and not a series of rooms.

anyone has any ideas? I wanna beat stuff up or shoot stuff up on my ds!

Platform? Beat stuff up?

Henry Hatsworth in the Puzzling Adventure does that. There is a bit of Panel de Pon in there but it helps you turn into a big bad ass robot for no reason other than its a great idea.

Well, you also have to do this "Panel de Pon stuff" to eliminate enemies and stuff who attack that side of the screen. You can't let it fill up, either. I thought it was actually pretty cool.
