Well, built, and bought parts (at some point) so I guess this counts, kinda...

Inverse RIAA for testing turntable preamps (and for connecting anything but turntables into phono connection of amp if ever there will be need or for just shits & giggles). Layout onto board I had, but the basic build from Jim Hagerman, modded for the components I had in hand. Both MM and MC supported - quite a nice addition into my audio gear testing arsenal I think :)

So my wife has been putting me through minor hell this summer with house cleaning and renovations. Painted a bathroom, moved and replaced furniture, shampooed carpet, trimmed down a massive hedge in front of the house, etc. I'm sore and worn out. But today it paid off, a little. She went through a bunch of stuff we had in storage over the last couple days and found these treasures. Not the actual consoles, I knew where they were. But I thought these boxes were loooong gone. They're all in excellent condition with all the plastic bags, manuals, promotional pamphlets, charging docks &etc. inside. A couple of the 3DS boxes still have sealed AR cards in them.

Unfortunately the Animal Crossing 3DS LL has a broken hinge. Nintendo white plastic crumble syndrome. But they all boot just fine.

You could probably pay the gas bill for a month with all those.

I had a light but nice later last week and weekend of small gains, but ones I value so I was good as less tends to be more. Keep forgetting to post as this week hasn't been great. I had a few lucky moments later last week into the weekend on a smaller scale. I had not seen Lone Ranger locally in at least a decade, paid up on the lower end of things for it, but it's a rewarding if not a hard game, I got the Ice Climber off a friend for free when he gave me a few other decent titles just to sell because I handed him a GBA game that's rare he was after which is nice. The gaming paper stuff was $3ea so I grabbed it. I also at a store was given a couple of manuals, one from a costly gamecube game, used that to knock that 32X game down to less than a loose game went for so another one of those off the list. The Star Wars book is from the early 90s, has all the stuff people respect most in a great book, tech specs, fold out blueprints, all in excellent shape and just a fun read for under $10.
