Hacking Pkgj question

I'm on enso 3.65 and just did system restore. Do you need to enter a PSN account onto your system in order to use pkgj?

No. You might have to do the initial sign-in for the memory card but beyond that you shouldn't need to.

Here's a major dilema I'm having. I did the factory restore in safe mode but now can't access anything on the memory card because it says it's linked to the old account, which I dont want to use. Version spoof, henaku settings aren't in the settings menu, and in fact it says I'm on 3.65 (non-henkaku). When I start up, it does still show the enso symbol, so is there something I'm supposed to press on that screen or something to get into cfw?

Rebuild your databse. A factory restore isn't going to simply unlink a psn account from your memory card

Unlinking a psn account requires you to format the memory card. You won't have access to anything as long your old account is still on the system and card. Thats how these memory cards work, 1 account per card

Unlinking a psn account requires you to format the Vita not the memory card so you need to do that without the card inside of the vita try that. You won't have access to anything as long your old account is still on the system

The vita is what I did format. When I start with the memory card in, it says THAT is what's linked to the PSN ID I'm trying to get away from. And that's what has all the tools like vitashell on it.

Im afraid thats your only option if you plan to reuse that card. You can alway get vitashell back with Qcma there's a guide on here its pretty simple. And once you have everything installed properly make sure to backup your ur0 and ux0 folders to your PC incase something goes wrong

I backed up all the apps with QCMA as well as the activation files but same problem... cant use QCMA because it's linked to that old sysytem ID.

And even better, cant sign back onto the network with the old ID to reactivate again unless I update the system.... uggggh

Thats kinda the thing tho if you don't want the old account then your current back ups will be useless b/c the goal now is to a have memory card without an account associated with it. Which means you need to start fresh, you'll still have enso b/c its tied to the firmware

So do I basically just need to follow this whole guide over again? https://vita.hacks.guide

If so, this is a bit confusing to me since I technically seem to still have enso on here since its showing that symbol at boot.

No you already have cfw. The 1st thing you need to do after formatting the card is using Qcma to get vitashell back to install homebrew apps. When your done installing the apps thats when you need to make a new backup of everything.
You'll be fine since you can get most of the apps from the new VitaHBBrowser.vpk that should be the 2nd thing you install after regaining vitashell

Are you sure though I still have cfw? When I look at system information, it just says "3.65", without the japanese writing after it. The henkaku settings and spoofing options arent showing under settings either.

the enso logo pretty much answers that. If you didn't have cfw you wouldn't be seeing that. Anyway you can't format firmwares they are permanently stored on the system unless you update. Get vitashell back and try to launch should determine that as well

Tried to do the method you linked above and content manager on the vita isn't letting me move forward without entering a PSN account. This is like an endless loop of hell.

Then make one or use the old account. You aren't going to get by alot of thing s without an account which I failed to understand why you didn't want the old one. No one has ever been banned with a hacked vita if thats whats your worrying about. NoNpdrm games require the PSN if you want to update them

At this point I would have no problem entering the old account, but when I do it's telling me I need to update the system.

No, there not, and neither are the henkaku settings. It literally looks just like stock 3.65, besides the henkaku logo at boot.

You still have an option tho, but you lose enso which is the only con. You can update to 3.68 henkaku its better than nothing if a psn login is holding you back. But you need it in order to restore vitashell thus enjoying your games again
