VC games is stored inside your Wii, in the form of a ticket. As far as I know, these are kept intact even after you delete the game! This means that some values on your Wii's NAND determine if you can redownload a game or not. The Wii Shop server (most probably) keeps logs of your transactions as well.
I was unaware coolbho3000 has access to nintendos internal server I apoligize for my speculation that he was merely speculating.

what about mario kart for us PAL users? That was just last week, plenty of incentive. Hell, we havent even seen the iso37 in europe yet.

People are saying ISO37 is in Europe.

which tool?
I'm still wondering if I have iso37 or not, I may have updated just in time or I may have been too late.

Even if there is a ticket for every game it shouldn't be a problem if you don't connect to the Wii Shop channel. So you can go online with your games, but you shoulnd't try to connect to the Wii Shop.

me or bobdevil?

I didnt turn around n say it was, i said i was unaware of it being here. Hadnt heard anything to say it was here.

ISO37 sounds like the T-virus. (Resident Evil, anybody?) It spreads without installing it ... is it really from Nintendo, or is it some evil masterplan of Microsoft. NDS hacked Nagaravision, so do you really think some spanish kids hacked the wii? No this was done by Mirsofts best engeniers!

look at my psot again. I was talking to thebobevil, hence me quoting him....

Well if Nintendo didn't rip people of with the prices they charge for these VC games, then maybe not so many people would be thinking about installing there own VC games on their Wii's!?

still on ios 36 with mkwii update
biggrin.gif

you can check your ios version with the dual channel remover

People say that way doesn't show you the correct version.

i think it was this that shows you the ios version you have.

when i run that i get a ton lines of text and i don't know what line i should look at so.....

Nintendo could easily release an update which can tell which channels are homebrew & which are genuine, then disable all homebrew ones etc...

Not exactly a sound argument (people would pirate them if they were all $1 each), but i agree, the VC prices are a joke.

i'm 100% sure i'm on ios 36, because the mkwii update took 5sec, other people say they didn't even had an update.
the update on mkwii pal is the update for wiiware (mario kart wii channel;)).

i can't beleave updating to a new ios takes only 5 sec.
i remember when i was on 2.2E, and the mario galaxy update was there.
it took me almost 5 minutes to update
biggrin.gif

that was an ios replacement update (updated to ios36)

The IOS isn't used yet. And it's tiny. a 5 second update could easily install it.

Internal server indeed.

Figure it out.

I don't get it, when instaslling a pirated VC title, you don't pass by Nintendo's servers, it should install like a homebrew channel, so how would Nintendo find out you have this title on your Wii? I mean, unless this new VC game you install sings itself too just like a downloadable one. but I doubt it as the signature most likely is down on purchase.

BTW people are able to install them now? I though we needed a WAD packer? is it out?
