Lol, anywhere in the world, it is possible to get caught.

Singapore is known for strict law, so you'll want to be extra careful of what you doing in there.

It's not as bad as you think unless you do these three things (Murder, theft and [censored] excluded)

Drug Possession/Trafficking (Get caught with drugs and you die end of story)

Kidnapping (you'll be hanged for this as well)

Bringing Durians into certain places (unlike the above two, you won't die from doing this, it's a large fine though so watch what fruit you are carrying around)

Most of everything else nets you small fines and don't litter, everyone I know who traveled there has gotten a fine for this.

yeh im moving there because of dads job D;
haha not likely to have durian, kidnap anyone, kill anyone or posses drugs. nor am i likely to litter.
just i had heard that the singapore government had a filter or something (sorry i have no idea what im talking about) that watches what everyone is doing on the net. This would in turn catch pirates easier. (pirates like myself at time).
BUT THEY TEMPT YOU WITH THEIR CHEAP/FAST/UNLIMITED BROADBAND D;

Also what is [censored] and a Durian?
This is Durian,

Most people don't like it because it smells disgusting and taste weird. I actually like Durian, after I ate it few times with my dad. You'll get use to it after eating it a few times.

[censored] is the temp automatically censoring a word.
Which I assume you guys can find out, or am I allowed to say sexual assault?
About pirating, I live in the US and they've kiiiiinda caught me.
Got an email from Comcast.
Said they'd shut down my interwebs if it happened again.
But yeah, just always be careful about it.

That's quite a coincidence; I was catching up on a couple of communitychannel videos a few minutes ago and durians were mentioned; I was going to look them up.

Well, if you think about it, Singapore is a city-state. Downloading something is more easily tracked by the government because the area in which the government needs to track is small in comparison to the rest of the world, thus raising the probability of you getting caught significantly. It's like pirating games in Vatican City. You'll likely get caught it the government bothered tracking you.

Why would you move there?

And just use proxies or some stupid shit, that way you can't get caught.
Not true.

proxies do NOTHING. it protects you from the file host, who certainly wouldn't be the one to turn you in, as they where the one hosting the file. You would get caught by your ISP, and there is no way around that other than to get a trust able ISP.

I don't know, I kind of like the smell/taste, but maybe it's because my relatives grew them in their backyard (lived in a forest, it's Vietnam.)
