I played Pikmin 1 and 2 as a kid, and i barley remember it. I do remember that it was fun and that I didn't get enough parts because I sucked at games back then. I also played pikmin 2 but never beat it. I decided a few days ago, with my new found video game skills, that I would play Pikmin from start to finish. I beat it today with all 30 parts and It was a blast but...... WAY too short. I want more! I want to play Pikmin 2 now. I own them both for Gamecube but I played the Wiimake of Pikmin, I'd rather play that, as I like the updated graphics/widscreen and I am used to the controls. So what I want to know is, does anyone know when Pikmin 2 is coming out for Wii? Should I wait for that or just play it on GC?

The Pikmin 2 Wiimake is coming out in April in the EU/US, so you'll have to wait two months.

Personally, I prefer the GC controls, if only because the C-stick as a marching command has more functionality (calling Pikmin in front of you while marching your group behind you).

^Correct more or less. I have no idea what the release window is, but Nintendo in Japan is releasing all 7 of these Wii-GC recreations this year. So far there are the Pikmin and Tennis titles, but also Pikmin 2, both Metroid Primes, Donkey Kong, and Chibi Robo are getting the works.

As far as in the states goes March 10th is the start of it with Pikmin and Mario Tennis for $30 a pop which is pretty fair considering. I have Pikmin 2 on the GC that I played a few times I found kinda cheap last year for $30 (I hear its like $80 new on ebay so I think I did as it was new.) Pikmin 2 is a longer game, has a working non-lame radar, time stops in caves, as the day ends all pikmin are ported back to the ship so no cheap deaths too. I found having played both I hate Pikmin 1 over the useless radar and short days and fatal penalty to it. I do like the sequel though quite a bit and I think I found the control to be a little more worked out too.

As far as the GC remakes go I'm going to read up on the word given towards both Pikmin and Mario Tennis in march. MT I think I'll get as it will be leagues more fun not as just another lame 3D pong derivative with the swing controls. Pikmin though I want to see if it's only a straight port, or if they fixed the lame radar (I could live with the strict short day thing) as it's so confusing and then I'd probably grab it too.

I'm not sure what you mean by "lame radar," but the radar was updated to be displaying in line with the direction you're facing (front is north, back is south, etc.) when you open it.

Play it on GameCube, the first Pikmin remake was just released. It'll be a good year or so until the second one is released. And they might not even since there are tons of those gamecube games they can remake.

I started on the Gamecube and now I only need like 100 more pokos or whatever. I am in a cave on the 8th floor. The next one is a boss, probably. It gives me the chance to leave or go down. What happens if i leave? Do get to enter from where I left or do I have to venture through the levels again that are full of enemy's? I need a quick answer as Ive got my game paused. Thanks
