just got to free mode level 7

will probably still take a long time though. i play it once in a while these days.

I'm playing at Normal Lv5, but there's some puzzles at Lv4 that I couldn't manage to progress further and just didn't bothered with.

I also did the whole Free Lv1 and a few of Lv2, but I'm focusing on Normal right now.

Normal mode - all 11 levels
Free mode - 1-10 [about 10 puzzles not completed]

Ranking : S

i've sent many hours on this

Yeah, there's local Wi-Fi AND Online Wi-Fi multiplayer (although it's only you and one other person) and you compete in a "Speed Picross" match of sorts. It's a race to see who can finish the puzzle first, there are progress bars on the top screen so you can see what percentage of the puzzle you AND your rival have completed, and every time you make a mistake (penalty) you can't make any moves at all for 5 seconds.

Never use hint function.
Same here, don't really see the point if you're gonna get the computer to do half the work for you

If you time the hints good enough, you could get hints of edge row and edge column, which is game over-20x20 puzzle solved in less than 5 minutes.

I prefer free mode, quite frequently stylus input is jiggly which ends up in time penalty. I calibrate my touch screen very carefully, but when I play I'm just lying on bed with sloppy stylus control.

Recently playing Iraroji VOW, every single puzzle is in free mode, and there are multi color picross too which adds some more thinking (the fact that blue 3 red 3 could be 6 cells in a row instead of 3 in a row + at least 1 cell gap)
But it doesn't have zoom so it's really really hard to read numbers in 25x25 puzzle.
