I’ve finally all my files in the right location and I had a quick question..

On pSNES you can use the DB.xml to edit some info (it said all my USA games were clones, I didn’t like that so I edited them to show in green, non-clones).

I can’t seem to find the DB.xml for pFBA.. Is that all built into the file and can’t be edited? Not that savvy as far as “unzipping” the nro file to possibly edit.. couldn’t find it on any of the folders..

Thanks in advance!

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Just updated to 1.57 and found it installs it to the root of /switch and not /switch/pfba... makes a right mess of your folder structures.

Same happened to me when I updated via the home app. I just connected via FTP and manually unzipped as it was before, cleaned up a bit of the mess also..

You can just put it in /switch/pfba yourself, it doesn’t break anything.

Yeah I tried that, but everytime I run it, it just creates all the folder structure again in the root of Switch

This worked, thanks.

Cant get outrun to work. pFBA finds it and I can select it but I always get a error message.

Anybody got outrun to work?

Do you have the latest FBA romset? It doesn't use the same roms as MAME so you need to get the proper set.

I can only find one version of OutRun everywhere:

Out Run (sitdown/upright, Rev B)

And this version does not work.

Do you have a working version?
Because I don't want to get a complete romset only for one tiny rom.

make sure the name of the rom is the same as the one in pfba and double check the destination. I can confirm that not only roms from pfba romset work, i tried different ones from other sites and they woked just fine (tried some for megadrive and some for neogeo)

And yes, you cant ask for roms here.

Come on dude, I just googled "fba outrun rom" and literally got a working rom in the first couple hits.

Got it, thank you...

I still don't understand why you need different versions of one Rom for MAME. This is really bad application design.

Because MAME isn't the be all and end all. I personally am not a fan ever since it turned into a bloated mess. FBA is much more streamlined, not to mention easier to work with.

Just tried this for the first time tonight. Awesome!!
Is there a quick way to navigate through the games list? Scrolling through 10,000+ games takes a while :)

I know you can hit left and right to jump a screen at a time, but still pretty slow if you want to get to something in the middle

i guess these are the only options in this emu + you can isolate roms by gaming systems in options

i have delete ton of roms why we need 10,000 roms most of it are cloned and hacked also patched regions rom save me loading roms

Hold left or right and it speeds up, doesn't take that long to get anywhere in the list imo.

How is the folder structure with SX OS 1.4 (built in homebrew launcher)? I have the pfba.nro on the root, do I have to place the rom folders also there?

Thanks in advance!

While SX does let you load .nro files from root, you should not do this. Put it in /switch/pfba/

Any idea how I can start Commando? It starts with some sort of diagnostics screen, but I think you need to press player 1 and player 2 start.
