Hacking PES 2009

Can the 2009 version of PES be played online? I have a PAL Wii which is softmodded but I am unable to go online. I receive a message once the game is started saying Wiiconnect24 is disabled.

Is there any way around this?

You can go online, I just don't know how.
Have you tried going online in the menu?

I get that error too when I start my game, just don't bother with it.

Tried going though the menu and I get the same error and it won't let me go online unless the Wiiconnect24 is turned on.
