I keep my desktop and laptop on(I do put them in sleep mode though) unless I need to reboot them for a reason; PCs are really energy efficient I see no reason to shut them do every night.

What is your PC/Laptops current uptime?
I rebooted it yesterday cause I installed Discord and noticed it had been running for 17 days and 5 hours.
I never shut me lappy down in all honesty, I just turn the screen off whenever I go to sleep.
It's been running 24/7 ever since I bought it 9 years ago.
The only times it sees offtime is when I'm cleaning the fan (sleep mode) or when I'm rebooting it, which usually isn't longer then a minute ;p
If I take it along with me to me mates, I usually put it into sleep mode as well.

To check your uptime, open Speccy and click on OS.

Edit: I wanted to post this thread yesterday, but kinda forgot ;')

Longest uptime on laptop/desktop: DinohScene, 17 d, 05h, 08m, 00s
Longest uptime on server: Juggernaut911 link

my crap desktop pc (dual core; core 2, ddr2, hdd scavenged from a dead external hdd closure)
loads windows 10 in 5 seconds, why should i leave it on when i am not using?
the fans make noise, it has 3 lights (power, hdd and PSU) wastes electricity
and turning it off is probably good to make components last longuer..

As of this post, 5 minutes.
It takes me 8 seconds to boot up, and I don't want to pay for electricity I'm not using.

So why do you actually want to find out who is wasting most energy ?
want him/her to say sorry or do you really think its something "cool" to waste energy ?

My work Computer runs for about 8 Hours as I need it to work and my home PC runs about 10 hours a week sometimes more sometimes less ... still I hardly ever let it run trough the night.
