PC Gamer's Top 100 PC Games

Never liked Deus Ex.

It doesnt look like a very good top 100 list it lacks dune 2, duke nukem 3d and Vampires the masquerade bloodlines, and they have things like Audiosurf and world of goo listed?

Exactly why I don't play PC games anymore. Not to mention Quake 2 should have been #1. I stopped playing PC games after that point. Their only games are MMORP and FSP. So Quake 2 ended FPS for me. As SF2CE ended fighting games for me.

I just don't want to waste my life memorizing a board layout so I don't get fragged every two secs. The same why I don't want to memorize a 16 hit combo to be decent at a fighting game.

That reminds me of one more they have Street fighter 4 listed (quite highly aswell) but they dont mention Mortal combat 1 or 2

I remember when Medal of Honor Allied Assault made the top 20 in their once and now isn't there at all so most of these charts shouldn't be taken seriously.

Oblivion at #6 and Morrowind nowhere? I'm calling shenanigans on that one.

And despite Deus Ex being an excellent game, isn't putting it at the top of PC game lists a bit of a cliché these days?

I hate to break it to you, but Mortal Kombat as a whole has not aged very well. Talk about a series that relied on the gore factor...

Street Fighter IV is solid stuff, but I'd put One Must Fall 2097 up there. It's a great game, to this day.

No wonder Quake 2 ended FPS' for you, it was so terrible it probably scarred you for life

There's some good games in that list. Top 100 material is another thing. I certainly wouldn't list Fallout 3 in the top 10, nor Half-Life (it was really only the user mods that made it such a good game).

I'm quite surprised a few other rpgs didn't make the list like Baldur's Gate 1, Icewind Dale and Neverwinter Nights.

Can't be good at very many games if you don't put the effort into it.

I must agree to most of this, especially the Half-Life series. I got into it over the summer, and it's one of the best games I ever played. Good gameplay, good characters, excellent AI, and most importantly, awesome storyline. This is one of the few games I can actually believe to be theoretically possible (assuming extra dimensions can exist). So far, I've played Half life, HL:2, HL:2ep1, HL2:ep2, HL: Blue Shift, and HL: Opposing forces in that order. (Yeah I know I didn't play it correctly, oh well.)

Starcraft was also good. So was Sim City 2000.
