I've tried downloading the correct payloads in the correct file placements for my wii u sd card but whenever i put them in in the correct place, it stays black. When I run the wii u without the sd card, it runs fine. What should I do?

1) Deleted all the files from the SD card.
2) Reformat the SD card (FAT32, 32 KB cluster size, just as described on the link you posted).
3) Check the card with https://3ds.hacks.guide/h2testw-(windows).html
4) In case of no errors redownload the files from your link and extract them to the SD card as described. Make sure to not miss something.
