Apparently my switch is patched because my serial number begins with XKW sadly. Is there anyway to get cfw on my switch. I'm really desperate right now. I would love to be able to get themes on my switch.

Check the system firmware. If it is 4.0 or lower it is possible.

XKW are mariko unit they have the newer motherboard, no cfw yet.

There's no fixing because Nintendo patched the system for good. You need to sell your switch and buy a hackable switch on ebay

You know how much of a pain that would be to sell my switch. Because I also need to transfer data and I cant make a return because gamestop claims I have to do a trade in and it will cost $100 to get a gen 1 switch.

You joined the hacking scene late. Its your fault you're in this situation. The only option for you is to wait for patched units to be hacked on higher firmware

Like noted there is no fixing a serial. You can not spoof it or nothing of the kind.
For now you are out of luck with that unit. It's either wait and hope something comes out for them in the future.
For now; Team Executer showed of something. But it will be a hardmod.

Or find a hackable Switch as mentioned.

XK*/Mariko units are incapable of running anything below 6.0.0
(Unless you’re on dev/debug, in which case they can go down to 5.0.0)

Yes, the SX Core is $60 but if you are not experienced in micro soldering you will have to pay someone an additional $60 to install it.

$100 to get a hackable Switch is dirt cheap. That's only 2-3 new game purchases.
