I see this is also made using MS paint which is quite resourceful instead
    of the costly Photoshop

Hey there, it's the creator here,

Could a mod copy and paste the actual description from the thread on DSGM? The game was made using DSGM, PAlib and C. Using MSPaint and Photoshop (where more zoom and palette control was needed) for the graphics. The sound effects are taken from the old arcade game, but the music track that runs is by an indie artist called Mr Lou from Dewfall Productions (lots of talented musicians at indiegamemusic.com worth checking out for anyone developing games).

I've found DSGM a great IDE to work with, and through it have built up coding skills - it does a nice job of speeding up getting graphics into the game I've found. This was made in the older 4.9 version, a newer object orientated approach has be made with a total rewrite for v5 which is the current.

MSPaint is an excellent tool for pixel art, you don't need a lot of fancy tools when you draw by the pixel and need control over them all. ^^
