The Reader that came with the DSTT, the Micro SD card reader overheats during data transfer, is this normal? And when i put it back on my DS TT, the files are corrupted. What brand for Micro SD card reader should I get?

that card reader is not worth your time.
I don't know about specific brands of card readers, but see if your mp3 or camera can be used as a reader.
otherwise, almost any card reader on the market will do better than the one that comes with the DSTT.
btw, also try reformatting your microsd card ... it might not be the card reader at all (since it is hot anytime you use it).
