Applying a sticker to a console equals defiling it - I'm a horrible purist when it comes to that. Comes with the hobby of being a collector - you want everthing as "stock" as humanly possible. I've never had a single console that had a sticker on it that didn't say "Warranty void if removed" on it - that's the only sticker I allow to stay where it's supposed to be.

I like stickers... as long as I can take them off when I'm done. Honestly, I think it's a nice way to personalize your console. As for me, I can't help but but screen protector and a case/skin for everything I own, I really emphasize how carefully I take care of my things, and I get really irritated if I see a scratch or a scuff on any of my electronics.

At least the outside is a plastic casing, which looks pretty nice. ^_^
Agreed, but they chose the most horrible material they could. Those "Crystal" cases... I swear to god - they're more fragile then a figurine made of actual crystal.

I once bought a case like this, it didn't come cheap and it *broke* literally 10 minutes after I placed my DS Lite in it. The hinge it had just disintegrated, rendering it useless, and it wasn't cheap. >>

Depends on the actual product itself. I've come across many nice Crystal cases, although TPU is usually the way I go.

I see a massive difference between stickers and protecting the exterior of the console.

Screen protectors are a must, but I'm more inclined towards using cases and flipcases to protect the console itself rather then rely on a sticker that's subjected to wear and tear and simply looks nasty after prolonged use. Btw...

Once again, it's extremely retarded that special edition 3DS systems have the graphics UPSIDE DOWN when the system is OPEN. Other people see the graphics when it's OPEN. When it's CLOSED, it should be in your pocket, unless you are frivolous with your expensive shit and just leave it around.

EVEN STICKERZ/CASESSSSS

The stickers are on the inside part, the outside is a crystal case, but I do see your point.

That's goin' a little far, but I suppose I don't collect electronics, just cards. Handhelds look boring as hell, they need a little spicing up to look nice. I prefer things i'm going to flash around to look unique. I don't really see any point in keeping them "pure". But hell I can still sort of see where you're coming from considering how OCD I am when I get a new box of cards to sort.

At least for me, it's not what others see, it's about what I see. I see the 3ds' outer covering when it's closed, so it makes sense that the design is oriented that way. When it's open, I can't see the upside down design, so I wouldn't care. I don't really care what others think when they see the back side of my 3ds with an upside down design. They've gotta deal with it. B-)

... and that was a mere opinion from a person that happens to not be a show-off and doesn't care about others.

@AncientBoi, Yeah, believe you can do PSP games as well. But a Pi5 is much powerful in comparison.

Not sure about other models of Pi4 but the Pi 4 B with 8GBs OCed to 2Ghz handles PSP really great except like 1 game I found and it is playable it just looks bad lol Motor Storm Arctic something or other.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Other games I can have turned up to like 2X and all kinds of enhancements, Motorstorm hmmm nope 1X and no enhancements lol

I will admit that one does seem more interesting than the usual Ambernic ones, and I already liked those.

    I dread the price point.

This looks like one of their premium models, so... $150 :glare:

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    To me that seems reasonable.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I mean since basically all the games are errmmm free lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.

I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet :(
  • Veho @ Veho:
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
yes that's the expensive part lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean sure it's flexible and stuff but so is uremum but it's fiddly.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I want everything served on a plate plz ktnx, "work" is too much work for me.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Hmm, with that in mind, maybe a complete out-the-box solution with all the games collected, pacthed and optimized for me would be worth $150

Yeah it's all choice and that's a good thing :)
