[Outdated] How to play .ISO games on Homebrew Channel!

Okay lets get started
I take no Responsibility for any fuck ups during this tut!

First:
Download the following files!(I will only post mediafire links)
------------------------------
http://www.mediafire.com/?e369gcp9e9l42tc
--------------------------------

Now for what you will need!
USB drive(4gb+) (You most likely want a 8 gb or a external hard drive because 4GB is not a lot of space for a lot of games)
SD card(4gb+/-)
Homebrew channel
Wii back up manager(in the file above)
WBFS manager(installer in the file above)
Wii(Duh)
Thats about it.

Steps:
1:Extract the file "Apps" to your SD card
(only do if you have WBFS file and not a iso go to step 5 If it's a ISO)
2: open Wii back up manager and load your WBFS file
3:Check the box next to your files name and hit the "Transfer tab"
4:Select ISO... and select your desktop and wait for it to finish
5: once it's done open WBFS manager
6:Change the Drive to the Drive you USB is plugged into
7:Format your drive using WBFS manager.
8:Hit "browse..." and select your iso
9:Hit load once the ISO appears in the box above
10:Wait for the ISO to be put on your USB!
11:Now to get the USB loader to LOAD read the steps below!
--------------
USB loader to load steps
--------------
1:Go to your wii and open Home brew channel!
2: open Ios 236 app and install it(make sure to instal with network not wad)
3: Once done open D2x-Cios-installer and install(once again use the Network not wad!)
4: Done!(if it does not work then let me know and ill edit this post and fix it!
-------------
The D2x-Cios-installer is for anyone trying to play Mw3 this installs Ios 250 for you and the cIOS rev 19 also needs to be installed for Ios 250 to work!

I really have to criticize this post.

* Why would you want to use ISO format for Wii game?
If you use ISO file then it has to be padded to accommodate the encryption. Which means games like Super Mario Collection (16 MB) suddenly padded to 4.7 GB ISO. Not to mention Dolphin now supports loading directly from WBFS file, even less reason to keep it in ISO format. You are wasting HDD space with ISO format.

* Is there really a need toward IOS 236?
If you are hacking your Wii, then you should have the latest Homebrew Channel (if not update it). Latest Homebrew Channel has AHBPROT, that eliminates the need for IOS 236.
If you are not using d2x-cios-installer but WAD file from Modmii, you can use Multi-mod Manager with official IOS 58 is to install WAD file. IOS 236 is an outdated method of installing WAD file.

* Is there a need for cIOS rev 19?
d2x can work on its own. IOS 249 installed with d2x using base IOS 56. Optionally install other d2x using different bases such as IOS 57 (for music games), and IOS 58 (for games that uses webcam).
You probably couldn't play MW3 because you bundled older version of d2x. Latest version is v10.

* Can you include newer version?
d2x you have included is old. Same with USB Loader etc.

* Do we even need this tutorial?
Not to be rude but we have Modmii, so even rookie can get started on Wii hacking with ease. Modmii can even fetch the latest d2x wad files.

* Why would you want to use ISO format for Wii game?
actually its worse, he wants you to use a WBFS partition
(WBFSManager doesn't do anything else, thats the reason for converting .wbfs to .iso first too)
no homebrew, no GC, no Movies, no Music
but instead windows asking to format it and an assload of crap tools that might corrupt it

additionally WBFSManager is one of those, it still has the dreaded delete bug
(everytime you delete a game with it you can potentially kiss anoter one goodby too)

I second the notion to simply forget this dreadfull "guide" and just use modmii,
even if you still want to use a WBFS partition (with a sane tool like wiimms or WBM)

Wait......is he saying to convert your wbfs files into an ISO with wiibackup manager and then use wbfs manager to format a perfectly fine fat32 hdd into a useless, outdated wbfs file format and reconvert your iso to wbfs ?
Why to just use wiibackup manager, format tour drive in fat32 and let wiibackup manager do the rest of the transfer/conversion for you ?
Also patching ios 236 ?
So much outdated , unnecessary work......

Not to be rude, but to any n00b out there, stay away from this guide.
I like to add + 1 to modmii.

Also, not to be rude, who the hell is this derrick ?

Because it's easier i've never had a problem with my .ISO files nor WBFS manager. if you did thats your problem.
steps to reproduce:
get four games (one of them larger than any of the other three (in WBFS blocks)
create a new WBFS partition
order the three "small" games in some way
copy the them in that order
create checksums of the first and third and make sure they play ok
delete the second game
then copy the large one
compare the checksums of the first and third game and try running them again

As others said, please update this guide with more recent methods or I'll have to delete it.

I'll reopen it if you want to update it.

Thanks.
