I have OS X installed and I read you can install Linux on the Mac as well, Would installing Linux on my Mac give me anything I dont already have?

Or in other words, What benefits, if any, Would come out of installing Linux on my Mac.

Actually linux on a mac is kinda usefull. Besides Mac Does Kinda Limit The Software And Linux Is 99% Open Source And Linux Has Some Kickass Compiz Effects That Blow Mac Away.
