A9LH reminds me of the Magic Memory Stick and pandora battery for PSP in that it would miraculously start when it found the correct files on the memory stick otherwise just blackscreen.

yellows8 bricked in plain userland trying to use notification LEDs. And it isn't recoverable with a hardmod. We don't know why it hardbricks.

Don't touch LEDs.... They give you nice bricks to which a lovely nand mod won't fix ask ywllows8 haha

Not from a9lh in general. If you just wanted a clean, non hacked 3ds with latest firm but just custom LEDs... Well it's a pain. And the brick rates are unknown. I know it's about 50% rn since I know of one brick and one success. Once you brick, a nand dump won't fix it.. And there's no way to restore it as far as I know. So it's just done. Maybe a cute table leveler if it's wobbly?

Well you could also write to nand... Empty nand sectors are freaking life for Andres and I haha. And iirc no to LCD colors either since we don't have arm11 that early or that we don't have LCD access that early. One of them haha.

OK guys, I'm about to do it on my O3DS.
I already downgraded perfectly fine a 10.5 emunand (which I had ran tinyformat on and passed the initial configurations) to 2.1.
Am I safe to go on and inject it?
I heard some people ending up with broken sysnands affter downgrading from 10.5

If you're on O3DS, then yeah, I think you can. If you can, just check that the FIRM partitions are downgraded on your emuNAND.

Verified working with the stock ReiNand arm9loaderhax.bin. But sadly, that boots me into emunand. I need to figure out why building AU Reinand to boot sysnand breaks the a9lh bin

First, I'll do it on a second sd card ( to keep my actual emunand working), I suppose that I have to setup an emunand and cfw before start the tuto.
And, I am wondering if there will be a problem with all that stuff (downgrade emunand, inject to sysnand) since I have the bluecardfix.cia on my sysnand, that will be ok ?
One more thing about that, if I have to use an hardmod (not yet installed, but I have all the tools and skill), I didn't remember if I have do my nand backup before or after the installation of the bluecardfix, no problem ?


For the CFW, I can use my gateway or rei/cake/rxtools only ? I think I'll just use my gateway to install the CIA manager (

Having bluecardfix installed won't cause any issues.
I don't recommend you downgrading with GW. However, you can install FBI with your GW without any problem.

Ok, that's what I thought, and of couse I won't downgrade with the GW, I'll only use it to install FBI

e: just remember one question that I forgot to ask:
In the zip that @Plailect give, the 3ds and updates folder have capital letters "3DS" and "Updates", actually I have "3ds", and for the friend's 3ds that I have downgraded, I have make "updates" dir, not "Updates", that significant or not ?

I just tried and got this error too on old 3ds EU.
Followed the tutorial step by step.

edit: Did you install the modified TWL cia? I think that may be the cause.
