Go pirate Windows 7 Ultimate OEM version. And then use an OEM activator (do a search for Windows 7 Loader 1.6 -Daz), making sure it's set to your PC's manufacturer
I should not pirate an os , it's kinda unsafe if MS releases updates that can detect if it's legal or illegal ..

Try Linux ubuntu . You won't need to crack anything and it's free to use

If Microsoft finds a way you have an illegal copy and doesn't let you use Windows you can boot up into Linux and backup your stuff so you could install Windows again or you could stay on Linux if you really like it.

Anyway, it would be most likely through a Windows Update, so it would be all around hacking sites/forums so you could just not install that update.

do you really know if Microsoft can just update something with your permission and it will really show up as windows update? I wouldn't be too certain of it
and even if you backup your files etc etc...it's still a lot of hassle to setup windows again with installing every program and restore every file etc etc

As for the calling method, I heard that may work as well.

If the key is genuine and you didn't pirate the software it is guaranteed to work 100% and most of the time you will get the automated response version.

Hell I switched out my motherboard mere days after activating my copy of Windows 7 on it! I called the number and it kicked me into the automated response version I told Mr Robot voice that I only had 7 installed on one computer and told it the numbers on screen and it fired back some numbers of its own and BAM I'm genuine again biggrin.gif

I thought he had a retail one that he wanted to use again. I had misread his first post. But they let you use the key again even after changing the mobo? I thought their policy was new mobo=new computer?

They've done it before with Vista and they can do it again. It's not like they can do it without your permission, since you can just turn off automatic updates and check each update yourself.

If activating Windows by calling Microsoft doesn't work, you should get away with using the upgrade version of 7 legitimately. I don't think this has changed (but I can't be 100% positive), but with Vista you can install it without putting in a key, and it will give you a 30 day trial. From there you can perform a Windows clean install using an update key. Windows 7 may have changed that though, I'm not sure. I got my copy of 7 Pro for free from MSDNAA because I'm studying I.T.

just want to say: OSX IS NOT LINUX!

i feel better now.

but seriously,
OSX is aimed at noob's,
yes, it looks real slick, but all the good shit is hidden from view.

Linux appears more configurable and easy for non-noob's to get to the technical stuff.

microsoft never has the ability to update without your approval because of their own product windows firewall but ive used pirated windows for about 5-6 years now just look at what updates you install and if an updates smells fishy search it up most of the time they name it what it is like genuine advantage and crap its really secure sorta like this whole nintendo wii thing windows comes out with an update to detect it and daz or whoever at the time updates to bypass but i say still try ubuntu its one of the most widely used linux version and the forums online always has someone there so you can get help with an issue and there is a new version every six months i triple boot right now with windows 7, OSx 10.6, and ubuntu but looking for another linux distro that will handle my video card better i use windows 7 the most but because of games but if i didn't have games i would stick with ubuntu way more stable my windows explorer keeps crashing that doesnt happen in ubuntu

p.s. as i read over my post i realize that i need to start using punctuation cause my post seems like jibberish but o well its now time for you to be confused by what i say

If Microsoft implents a check through a update that is happening silently you're screwed...I wouldn't be too sure about this update stuff...Microsoft wouldn't be that dump to not implent any possibility to force the user to update his OS with new checks...

Uh. Run-on sentence. No periods, commas or anything. Meh. You noticed.

What smells fishy?

Lol. I had to do that!

I got a pirated Windows Vista Home Premium and the update of anti-piracy was there. It was installed and my desktop is like the ordinary licensed Vista around the world. I have the latest update but recently, im too tired to install them because im too lazy but I did update it almost everyday after the release of the loader detector.

screw windows xp its outdatted and now unsupported, jump over vista and use windows 7. or get a mac

lol, so many great ideas. I will try and call. If that doesn't work i will try to maybe pirate one, maybe not. The Vista trial thingy looks interesting and i might but i'll do a little more research on that.
