Gaming order of ecclesia

Well, I use an M3 Real; sometimes I couldn't do things on games unless I booted it without soft-reset disabled and wifi-enabled. I never had trouble when i ran a game like that.

I'll go ahead and see if if plays for me tomorrow.

I played through the first stage fine, but turned it off, 5 minutes later i turn it on and load OoE. The engery light blinks during the opening, if you watch the opening or skip, either way the energy light stops flashing the game freezes during the load to the menu. Any fixes?

I'm getting a black screen after the opening =/ As well, the light is blinking and then stops.. Using R4 1.18 with Kingston 1GB Taiwan.

DoS wasn't problematic at all from what I know (I played it on my M3 Simply, M3 Real and CycloDS with no problem whatsoever)..
Just for historical accuracy, iirc, when DoS first came out, there were some problems with flashcarts playing the intro because many of them didn't have complete support for the ActImagine codec. Once support for the codec was updated, the game was fine.

The DoS intro was actually used by most slot-2 flashcart reviewers and SD/CF reviewers early on to make sure there was no lag as compared to the original cart.

Thank goodness we don't need to worry about those issues anymore. We've gotten to the point that we take ActImagine codec support for granted.

Playing O.o.E. on my R4 (black) using 1.18v with a 2GB micro SD (Kingston)

Clocked about 3hours so far around 20%

Started to freeze more and more on switching to menu screen and picking items.

Seeing as it seems to be the same engine as P.o.R. i'm guna try a ARM7 Patch

Using DSlazy, this does mean my save won't work so i need to restart it

Thats fine with me as i love it.

will report back on ARM7 fix later.

The intro actully DOES lag at some point, it's a short moment when the monsters get red slashed with cinders flying all over. It skips a few frames and if Supercard cheats are enabled there is a short music loop too. I wanted to disable Patch Speed to gain even more speed and fully run the part smoothly however the game halts at the beginning of the intro if that gets disabled, and I can't up SD speed anymore I'm at 28x more than that white screens games. Not really a problem. The real problem is that I'm level 25 and still can't beat the 4th boss. I reached it at level 17 then raised myself another 8 but still can't cope.

i didin`t notice any slowdowns on m3 simply with 2gb kingston, but the game sucks so i wouldn`t care (and h ate to say this about a castlevania game)

erm, what one is the 4th boss?

-first gen r4DS (white) with firmware v1.17
-GFM 2GB microSD (made in Japan) formated in FAT

No issues at all. Not one freeze or slowdown and 35% complete.

I had an issue with freezing in other games but that was a hardware issue. The contacts of the R4 weren't fully connecting with the DS or something like that (caused freezing. and possibly data corruption?). so i squeezed the edges of the r4 together making sure they were tight and flush and haven't had a problem since. also make sure you don't fill your micro sd all the way up, leave a fair amount of free space as i hear filling it causes problems. also if you haven't formatted in awhile you might wanna try that.

ARM7 is working fine no freezing 2 hours in,seems to run smoother when using in game menus.

i think i killed it with the glyph you get at the top of the lighthouse. dual wield it, use it, stand back, repeat as necessary. each one will hit a few times for decent damage.

QUOTE(InuYasha @ Oct 25 2008, 11:24 AM) Double jump is like a blessing once you get it.....

yeah, in every castlevania game, i always want to get the double jump, and wish it was obtained earlier.

Used Arm7 patch of OoE, and after the opening movie, you'll automatically go on the wifi connecting screen
using an R4 Black, v1.18, SanDisk 2G

Only weird thing is the WiFi light blinking a before the title screen but I never noticed lag or freezing on my CycloDS with 2GB Kingston Taiwan.

Besides, PoR froze on real cartridges too, so any freezing might not be the flash card/MicroSD's problem.

What about an Arm9 fix? would that work?
hell no.
replacing an arm9 is like trying to fix your copy of crysis by replacing crysis.exe with halo.exe.
