Gaming Ophcrack Problem.

Aight here goes.
Ive lost all my passwords on the computer so i have to use the guest account. i ran ophcrack and it only got one password. it was ASPNET tho, is there a way i can use tables? I cant installing using universal usb installer.... Any help will be very much appreciated ._.

I tried it once with cmd (on school and at home), it was impossible. I believe you have to run some kind of boot disk to recover it, or maybe there are some programs on the internet...

I have the boot disk for it. I can get the proper tables (461mb one might be ok?) but i dont know how to use them.

Just tossing that hint out there as I'm not sure if linking to the actual tool is okay.

Do note that it does not FIND the passwords, but rather lets you reset them... so if you have bitlocker or encrypted files of any kind (which depend on the windows user account passwords) they will be unrecoverable after you reset/wipe the password.

Reported of age 12... I think you are onto something Rydian.

I have reported this to the cyber police, I really hope they were lost because if he is trying to sneak into other accounts without being caught, they may confiscate the computer and lock it up.

More so lost them. my dad said under no circumstances should it be changed. he mentioned offline NT and said not to use that or any program like it and threw out the disc i have it on.

just because it seems fishy u wont help me? =.= its completely legitimate. my dad cant do any of his accounts on the computer and he asked me to try fix it. he told me a reset can mess up a computer (he works in IT and he said its rare but it does happen. he wants it 100% safe) So please. I really need help.

The Offline NT reset only resets the account login info of the registry, the only chance it has to fuck something up is if Bitlocker or some other form of windows-based file encryption is used.

Age matters a lot... At your age, the average person is pretty much a slave to their parent's opinion.

Certain websites you can't see.

The only valid scenario I can see your dad needing the same password is that he used the same password for other things which he cannot remember. However, having the same password for multiple accounts is less possibility of forgetting.

If age doesn't matter, stand up to your dad and show him that it makes no sense to require the same password.

Um.. reboot the comp in safe mode, log into the hidden Administrator account, then remove the passwords, and set them to something you think your dad would use.

no clue why he insists on it. me and my dad are the only ones that use it and he knows my password. well, used too. no clue why all the passes changed. probably another "experiment" hes done them in the past.

If you are sure your dad doesn't have encrypted files then you can simply do as suggested & use Offline NT to remove the password & then set the password to be his last remembered password but with a small tweak like all caps or an extra symbol in the end.

Trying to recover the password is next to impossible & brute-forcing will take some realllly long time so either convince your father to give up recovering it or trick him.

In windows XP on up, there is a hidden account titled "Administrator". I highly doubt your father is using this account, it can only be accessed via Safe Mode.
