I decided to replace my crappy R4 clone by a SuperCard DSTWO, which is the most convenient card out there for me right now. But I am worried about one thing, whether I should buy a RAM expansion for internet browsing or not. Either way, I don't want to regret my decision. I'm paying a fair amount of money for shipping because I live where there are no internet shops and am unlikely to order more than once. So, the decision I take now is final for a couple months.

By far, I know only 2 real browsers: official NDS browser and DSOrganize's browser. Are there any other browsers beyond alpha stage or a DSTWO specific browser that I should consider? The official NDS browser obviously needs the RAM expansion pack which's at least worth 15 bucks and I would like to avoid spending. Comparing to the overall cost, 15$ seem to be much for a few additional browser features, so it's a hard decision. What I currently need in order to decide is simply a comparison between them. Those are my questions:

Does the DSOrganize browser work on the DSTWO fine without a RAM expansion?
Does it have any flaws in displaying normal HTML pages?
Does it have any advantages over the official browser?

Can the official NDS browser open multiple pages simultaneously?
What features does it have over the DSOrganize browser?
Does it have any advantages over DSOrganize in normal displaying of pages?

Does either of them support interactive objects such as Java Script's objects?

Would you like to share your experience with any of the 2 browsers with particular sites and how much of them can you access? (I.E. does FaceBook work? How about Wikipedia? deviantART? vBulletins?...etc).

And there is this thing that I found by search: DSTWO Browser Plugin 1.0, but it doesn't have any info about its usability. Does anyone know -or would like to find out- if it's real and contains anything?

Your comments, guys?

Don't waste your time with DS web browsers like I did.

I'd rather use my smartphone's web browser. It's faster and packs more features.

But anyway, if you remain adamant about your decision, I'd stick with the DS Opera Web Browser.

honestly, all of the DS browsers are garbage

there are two other homebrew browsers, Bunjalloo, and DSHobro, DSHobro being the most web compatible, but it requires a PC running and hooked up to the internet to parse the data

I believe it if you say that all of them are garbage. But even garbage can be compared to garbage, and I just want to know upgrading to Opera is worth the money or not.

I actually forgot that Bunjalloo did exist, but it has never worked with me because I don't have the RAM expansion. DSHoBro is useless because you rarely use the DS in the presence of your computer.

I don't have a smart phone and won't get one this year. For my DS, if a free solution for web browsing does exist, I'm gonna use it. If its upgrade is worth 15-20 bucks or just close to it (though it's unlikely), I'm gonna consider buying SLOT-2 RAM for it (the upgrade being Opera).

But a few important questions remain unanswered, does either of the web browser of DSOrganize or Bunjalloo work without SLOT-2 RAM expansion? If they both don't, then spending 20$ bucks to enable the web browsing feature on my DS is a considerable choice. If they do, is the upgrade to Opera worth the money (how does it compare before and after)?

DSOrganize works pretty well, except it doesn't show images. Bunjalloo is slow but they display most of the images. They both don't need SLOT-2 RAM expansion. I like to use DSOrganize for downloads and Bunjallo for images.

If you do decide to buy a RAM expansion, just get a 3in1.
There's no point in getting the official RAM expansion with the 3in1 doing it and more.

Opera for DS is slow and flakes on image heavy web sites, but if you really want a portable browser for you DS it's serviceable. In some ways I like it better than the PSP's browser... But mostly not. :-)

I agree w/ Pingouin7 though, get a 3-in-1, not the official RAM pack. It'll be well worth it for the GBA... Yes the SCDS2 does GBA, but not as well as the 3-in-1 if you have a slot 2.

Price Angels has both items & free shipping, BTW, as I'm sure a bunch of other internet shops you don't live near do as well (I just didn't bother to look).

I see. So, I can use DSOrganize and Bunjalloo without a RAM pack. I needed to make sure because they could by max open a single page before freezing on my R4 clone.

I've taken my decision, I don't need the EZ-Flash 3in1 nor anything. I just remembered reading a few comments of people saying that browsing flickr on the DS browser is a horribly slow experience. Thus, it's poor in one of the main roles I was considering it for, this makes it definitely not worth the money. I also prefer playing GBA games on the DSTWO, this will drain my battery faster but the realtime save and game guides are totally worth it! Also, thanks for telling me about Price Angels! Its reputation at resellerratings.com is as high as Real Hot Stuff, and both are relatively high (AP: 8.91 and RHS: 9.50, comparing to Amazon: 7.15). It has a lower price than Real Hot Stuff in addition to a FREE worldwide shipping solution! I don't care if my DSTWO is gonna arrive in 50 days as long as the overall cost is just 35$. But I can't see the MicroSD bundle option though. The MicroSD's price won't differ while I'll get it with the set up ready to run and all. I guess it's unavailable here?

I think I'm ready to place my order, should I go? Thanks to all of you for commenting!

This site, PriceAngels, has apparently scammed me, despite its high rating at ResellerRatings. More than 30 business days have passed since my pack was shipped and the site has ignored my second support message so far. I'll just keep sending them. If they don't respond, I'll really not know what to do. With my pathetic financial status, I've paid the saving of half a year and the reward of 50 hours of work, this is terrible.

Any ideas?

did you pay them directly with your credit card or through paypal?

Paypal.
if they still haven't talked with you, you can file a complaint with paypal and get your money refunded

The 45 days of opening a dispute case have passed before I knew the solution existed. Any other solutions or ideas? Am I finished? Please tell me I'm not!

This piece of **** site is a scam. It's not responding to any message. Nothing received either.

QUOTE(Terminator02 @ Sep 25 2011, 03:31 AM) just keep trying to contact them i guess, leave a negative review of them on shoptemp if they never do respond
Is that all I can do for sure? Is taking this hard lesson my only choice? Too bad.

I left a review. ****ing thieves...

ATTENTION!
I withdraw everything I said! The site isn't a scam, it was just a communication problem.

Now as I was looking into my account for solutions it turned out there's a message inbox accessible through my account management page which they were replying to me through. Too bad the site sends no email notifications, nor does it highlight unread messages anywhere in the site's interface!

Okay then, the site is stupid, but obviously not a scam. I apologize for Price Angels, even though they are responsible for me thinking it was a scam. I'll further look into the issue with the customer support. Let's see what happens! Thanks for your support, guys.

Sorry for spamming, but I thought it was worth refreshing the thread to let you know after I falsely accused the site for scamming me.
