Gaming Opening a vb file?

I don't understand how to open a VB file. Is there some sort of program to open it? Any help would be appreciated.

If you mean a Visual Basic file, you can edit those in a normal text editor like notepad.
Of course to actually use it you'll need a compiler.

Where would you get compiler? It's a computer file not a Virtual Boy ROM.

Is there a free one? All I want to do is open one file and I don't want to spend a lot of money on it.

I tried using that. And it kept saying regsiter for a new key to extend your trial. I haven't even used it yet. Anything else?
