What directory are the saves stored in? I copied my save from gpsp, ran the tool to fix the save, and then put it in /3ds/open_agb_firm/saves/ but it still starts up as if it's a brand new game with no save

It could be related to that. This is the tool

Just was testing this out. The colour on Golden Sun TLA looks way too dark. I see discussion on shaders in this thread, but how does on implement those? I know there are screen brightness options you can configure but I'm unsure that would solve the problem.

What are you testing out specifically? Golden Sun TLA on the 3DS with open_AGB_firm, or are you talking about the GBA shaders in Retroarch?

GS:TLA with open_AGB_firm.
Aren't you people editing your gamma/saturation etc to optimize the image for your display? The picture quality looks better than any version of real GBA supporting hardware, ever.
How does one do that?

I am, but it's difficult to dial in just right, and it doesn't affect the issues inherent to the colorspace that was discussed from #716 onward.

Just curious, what do you have as your settings? I've tried adjusting output and input gamma but haven't hit on anything I've felt was quite right. I'm currently using gbaGamma 2.44 and lcdGamma 1.6, which seems decent, at least in terms of color saturation overall.

difficult to dial in just right,

It is. Because of the different screens and the fact none were initially calibrated there isn't a one size fits all approach. You've just got to try it and see as theres a lot of variables. Use GM9 to edit the options and reboot, its far quicker that way rather than adding/removing the card via PC.

Oh, I didn't think to use GM9. I've been using Notepad3DS to make the changes.

Edit - how do I edit the file in textviewer? I can't seem to make any changes, only view the file.
