People keep changing it, but there is a chance the original launch list was left unaltered.

This isn't so much a rant as just impatience. You've got plenty of other systems you can play OOT on. Go play it on one of them while you're waiting.

I don't understand why people care about this game.
They've re-released it so many times already it's impossible any of you are really excited about playing it.

"so many" being just twice...

I count 4, 5 if you live in China.
And that's not counted all those gold box, special editions, players choice etc. Technically just re-branding/repackaging, so I'm not counting them.

Everyone in this thread knows in their balls of balls, that they would prefer a new zelda over a remake, and that's what they should be doing.
Along with star fox.

You made a thread because you're impatient...great.

@Nollog: Re-Release =/= Remake.

If you are talking about RELEASING it more than once...

1 Ocarina of Time: Collectors Edition (Gold cart,1.0)
2 Ocarina of Time: Player's Choice (1.1 bug fixes)
3 Ocarina of Time: Player's Choice (1.2 bug fixes)
4 Ocarina of Time/Master Quest (GC)
5 Ocarina of Time (iQue version)
6 Ocarina of Time (Zelda Collectors Edition Disc GC)
7 Ocarina of Time (Virtual Console)

SEVEN releases that I can count, if you count Master Quest as a "port" or "updated re-release" it's 8.

this is the USA list, by the way, with the iQue thrown in. the games were released differently elsewhere in the world...

PS: This was more of a "minor complain" than a rant. rants usually tend to be longer, and be more specific, and ACTUALLY be enjoyable to read sometimes.

@Nollog: Re-Release =/= Remake.
Same Fudging Game = Re-Release.

You take the same story, gloss it up, and sell it at a fraction of cost.
And you keep buying the game over and over.
You'll never get a new Zelda if you're happy with re-makes.

Ok, I admit I played every Zelda(not like CDi/obscured ones), but that Zelda.

How about us player who never played?

Plus Zelda phantom hourglass, spirit tracks , and The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword isn't new?

Yeah, I was really hoping for either Kid Icarus or Ocarina of Time as a launch game... but, I guess it's better if they don't rush the two.

Both look so amazing, and the launch list pretty much sucks. I'm only getting Pilotwings Resort, kind of by default (I hate fighting games, and as amazing as Dead or Alive/Street Fighter look, I know I wouldn't like it).

I thought the fact that LoZ OoT wasn't to be released at the launch was realised a week or so ago?

Anyhoo - They have tried choosing a list of games that every gamer should like:

Nintendo confirms UK release titles

(That's for UK ofc)

However i do agree with you, i still find the games quite weak, and none of them are my types...(I know

) out of all those genres!
(not that LEGO Star Wars isn't my type..i've just played it before and don't have the urge to play it again)

I wouldn't be pessimistic just yet..there is still over a month till worldwide release, and titles such as Zelda OoT could be finished in that time?

Confirmations can change, and they have in the past

Virtual Console.
My main problem is the price-tag, among what I've posted about in various OoT3D threads.
Release it on 3DS VC for the same price as on Wii and they get lots of money.
Releasing it on cart. is a silly attempt to make as much money as possible
I am guilty though, as I pre-ordered starfox 3ds.
In my defense however, they've left this franchise to die since this great game.

They were released/announced before the 3DS.
It'll be years before you get a new Zelda now that you have a port.

Not that I care, I dislike Zelda games. I just find that you people always complain that Nintendo don't make enough new stuff etc., kinda contradictory.

Nintendo Player's "type" of game is Nintendo games.
Epic RPG's like Zelda, Platformers like mario, donkey kong, kirby, etc.
I don't think there's a rpg in the list at all.
The only platformer is rayman, (and I'm not even sure it is) but it's by ubisoft.
I just don't trust ubisoft to give me a game worth 35 euro.
Price is an obstacle too, 25-30 euro and I'd be willing to try out some inferior products, but at 35 I'm just not willing.

This Zelda is a remake. A port should go on VC. Not sure they can add 3D to a port as well as 3D to a remake.
And you do not know what they are doing with the game it may have some differences.
Fact that it a portable it would be awesome to me.

I do not like to pay for dlc content that much anyway because it can be lost so easy and it not in my hands.

IMO I doubt it be that long. Although I still want Majora's Mask remake.

Buying a system for a REMAKE is just flat out retarded.

Some people never got to experience the original. They've already mentioned a change to the Water Temple, but that may not be the only change/addition. We could get "a" Master Quest, which may or may not be the original one. Maybe an extra dungeon after you beat the game, or other sort of goodies like emulated versions of the NES and SNES games (since it's release is within a few months of the 25th anniversary). Who knows...
They only mentioned the WT change to the public because people had expressed their frustration with it back in the day.

I for one only played it once while I owned a n64 which I don't anymore and I am looking forward to playing it again
