Hacking Onyx?

Can anyone confirm the M3 lite working on the Onyx (or Coral Pink) DS lite (USA)? Is there any reason why it wouldnt work (like security updates or something)?

My friend has an Onyx DS Lite and a M3 Lite. I haven't seen any problems with it so far.

As far as I know all DS Lite are compatible with the M3 Lite and the G6 Lite.
