My blocked computer won't let me extract anything besides zips, because I can't install any real extractor like 7zip. So if anybody could help me out, then I'd really appreciate it

I've used Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc. The sites always end up giving me sites that you have to pay for, or a site that doesn't work. Like wobzip which always shows errors instead of extracting the file.

If you aren't going to post anything useful, might as well not post anything. I'm quite interested in online free rar extractor as well.
That's strange. Youre telling me i cant post anything useful yet you havent actually posted either.
If there is no way to these then there isnt. Stop complaining. be glad that people respond.

openrarfile.com ain't free. Shoulda put that in the description, but I forgot :l But why the hell would you think I would pay for an online extractor?

At first I was going to recommend portable apps and just have you install them into a folder somewhere on your computer. Then I realized you wouldn't be able to do that because portable apps still need an installer to be ran. So then I thought "I'll just run the installer and archive the folder where it installed as a ZIP for him". So here it is: 7-Zip Portable. Just unzip the archive and run 7-Zip. I use it at my school all the time because the computers there are blocked as well.

He never said anything about an error.
It's obviously a school/college computer or a computer that he doesn't have full control over (e.g. over protective parents)

Well if its a school comp they dont want every tom, dick and harry installing programes on them and if its at home restarting in safe mode and useing the default admin account if its not password protected should allow the installation of 7zip

Does the computer have acces for a USB stick? Theres a zip program (dont know wich) that you can actually just install on a USB drive and use unzip things on the harddrive

Those are called Portable Apps and they still need an installer to be ran in order to be installed. That's why I installed it to my desktop and archived the folder where it installed as a ZIP so he can download it and run 7-Zip directly with no installer needed. Download link is in my last post.

My school is a laptop school, and they have been laying on even more restrictions lately, so everything is restricted. Thanks for the 7-zip you compiled, I'm about to test it
