Hacking Online play basic question

I would like to start off with a big thank you to the community, is been great.

I'm just about to try putting my n3ds on custom firmware, I've been reading a bit about cias and games, but can you still play online with them? Like pokemon or monster Hunter or do I need to modify something for that to happen

Yes you can play online with these games just as if you'd actually purchased them.

These people went online in sun and moon before the game was even released. Don't do anything like that, and you'll be fine. You'll get banned if you cheat online as well.

Ah, I don't plan on cheating, thanks for the response tough, now I'll mod my n3ds and my GFS o3ds and we can play pokemon together.
